The Class of 1970 Scholarship

The Class of 1970 has had a number of curriculum-focused reunion funds that have deeply impacted the teaching and learning experiences of current Williams students.
In honor of their 55th Reunion, members of the Class of 1970 are uniting to make a powerful statement about access and opportunity at Williams. By establishing the Class of 1970 Scholarship, they are ensuring that future students can fully immerse themselves in the Williams experience. This new scholarship was launched with a generous lead gift from a classmate. Now, all gifts, pledges, and documented bequests made to the fund by June 30, 2025 qualify for a one-to-one match when received, effectively doubling their impact. Whether through a bequest intention, a multi-year pledge, or an outright gift, members of the Class of 1970 have an opportunity to amplify their generosity and sustain Williams’ commitment to true affordability for all students.
Williams' groundbreaking All-Grant financial aid model has removed loans and required work-study from student aid packages, allowing all students to focus on learning, growth, and exploration. Through this matching initiative, the Class of 1970 and the college are partners in creating new opportunities and leveling the playing field for all students, ensuring that financial circumstances never stand in the way of a transformative Williams education.
